It’s probably no surprise that the UK’s most expensive hotel suite is in London, given that it’s home to some of most expensive hotels in Europe. The Lanesborough Hotel can be found on Hype Park Corner, just a stones throw from the likes of Harrods, Sloane Square, and the millionaires playground – Knightsbridge. After a 19-month refurb by Alberto Pinto, the grand mansion has undergone a serious transformation (said to have cost upwards of £70 million) offering 93 luxurious suites for the most exclusive of guests. It’s fair to say, although expensive, none of the other suites come close to the UK’s most expensive – the Royal Suite.

The name of this incredible suite (although more like a mini mansion) speaks for itself, and is certainly fit for royalty, designed to showcase the finest of period detail with gold leaf everything and antique oil paintings. Extending across 4,845 sq ft, the suite is comprised of seven bedrooms and bathrooms, two living rooms with views of the Buckingham Palace Gardens, and a dining room seating up to 12 people. The service is equally as impressive and OTT, with a private butler available 24 hours a day to cater to your every need. Starting as they mean to go on, the hotel includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom with a chauffeur as a complimentary service to use at anytime during your stay. To book the entire Royal Suite you’ll be set back just over £26,000.
A Lister regulars..
Although Regency styled, the suite is kitted out to the max with the latest technology, with TV’s hidden behind paintings, remote-controlled everything, and even night-lights triggered by footsteps to show you the way to the closest marble covered bathroom. It’s prehaps these finer details that make it a firm favourite amongst A lister regulars including Jay-Z and Tom Cruise. Do we think they pay the £26,000 a night? Who knows.. but the hotel are said to generate around £5.7 million a year from this suite alone, so we reckon the odd gifted stay probably doesn’t hurt.
