For just AED 250 from 6pm daily, you can enjoy 4 courses from a curated set menu of the Chef’s favourite dishes. Don’t walk, RUN!
A beautiful Mediterranean inspired breakfast spot. Start your weekend beachside with Ulas bottomless brunch (A brunch that serves breakfast!) On Saturdays & Sundays from 10am – 12pm you can enjoy unlimited Prosecco, Bellinis or Mimosas alongside one dish from the menu. With an array of Mediterranean delights such as, Greek yoghurt, grilled halloumi, pitta with tzatziki, shakshuka & smoked salmon you’ll be spoilt for choice.
We loved this brunch experience, with the golden shores of the Palm Jumeirah as your backdrop you really couldn’t get a better holiday vibe location. With the brunch finishing at 12pm it gives you all afternoon to spend soaking up the Arabian sun down on Ulas beautiful beach.

We spent the afternoon at this stunning London hotspot, it really is the chicest restaurant in Selfridges. The venue dazzles diners with Art Deco interiors, an eclectic menu and a giant statue by Damien Hirst.
Selfridges’ Brasserie of Light opened in late 2018 and wow-d shoppers with its ’contemporary, elegant and artistic’ style. The venue continues to be a firm favourite amongst the London crowd, known for it’s extravagant interior and top tier service. If you take the entrance from Duke Street, you can understand why it’s considered an extravagant affair, with the resident doorman in a top hat and coat tails ready to welcome you inside. Follow the mirror covered walls through the entrance, and into the restaurant, an impressive space with serious Art Deco styling, from the high ceilings and mirrored everything, to the mustard yellow banquettes and bar stools. The star of the show though, is Damien Hirst’s largest London artwork, the 24ft crystal encrusted Pegasus set above the gleaming tables below.
Brasserie of Light definetly pulls out all the stops to ensure even the most discerning of guests leave feeling they’ve had a special experience – and we’d say the owners know a thing or two about creating successful venues, given that the owners Richard Caring’s Caprice Holdings are responsible for The Ivy Collection and Sexy Fish. The buzzing atmosphere is charming, and even though it gets rather busy, still manages to feel like you have enough privacy at your table (unless your a table of two). Aside from the stunning dining area, the venue also boasts an impressive mirrored bar (perfect for an elegant cocktail or two), while the flamboyant character continues into the loos, with a bold combo of marble and yep, more mirroring. It’s black for the boys and dusty pink for the girls, serving as the perfect insta op.
An extensive all day menu..
It has to be said that our lunch at Brasserie of Light was no less impressive than the surroundings. The menu is a good mash up of British and International dishes, all of which have certainly been given a tweak or two to emulate the decadent experience. The extensive all day menu offers something to satisfy everyone, from the white onion soup (tried, tested and delicious), to the Milanese Chicken and Miso Black Cod. The deserts are a real spectacle, creatively ‘designed’ to ensure maximum content potential. Although a hard choice, we opted for the galactic themed ’Orbit’ desert, a planet shaped chocolate dome, encasing chocolate mousse and ice cream on a bed of milk foam. We can confirm it was as yummy as it was beautiful! From the extensive alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail list to the brasserie style all day menu, this venue really does cater to everyone, and is surprisingly reasonably priced given its flamboyant vibe. A special dining experience that doesn’t break the bank!

One For The Socials..
Candlelit Oriental statues frame the walls at the entrance, while water feature and wind chimes create an authentic Far East ambiance. The décor is sleek and sophisticated, complete with low lighting, dark interiors and chrome light fixings. The views are spectacular – as you walk through the bar and restaurant towards the Terrace you are totally blown away by a sweeping balcony overlooking the sparkling Dubai Marina with yachts docked below and glittering lights as far as the eye can see. Get the camera ready, this is one for the socials!
It’s not just the views that are wow-worthy, If you can steal yourself away from the sparkling marina lights, you’ll find Group Executive Chef Robert Rathbones’ menu equally alluring. The man behind the magic for all the incredible cuisines across all Solutions Leisure restaurants including hotspots such as KOYO, Ula and STK. Robert has been with the ever expanding company for the past 5 years, he prides himself on constantly creating new concepts and menus for the restaurants. Having taken a lot of his inspiration from traveling in various countries and working under some of the most recognised and respected chefs in the world, including at Michelin-starred London restaurants such as Sat Bains, Trinity and the Greenhouse. You are sure to be blown away by the diverse menu and flavors he brings to the table.
When sitting down with Robert he explained that he loves the challenge that comes with the diversity of Solutions Leisure, jumping from an Asian perspective one moment to planning the menu of an American steakhouse the next, never a boring day!
The Best Sushi In Town..
Sushi is one of the most popular dishes here in Dubai and boy do Asia Asia pull out all of the stops! We ordered the Asia Asia mixed platter which was presented on huge wooden iced dish decorated with beautiful bright flowers. As the impressive dish was placed onto the table the waitress poured water over dry ice which surrounded the dish, the whole table was covered with smoke, it really was quite the show! If you’re looking to WOW someone on date night this is the dish to order, plus It really did taste as good as it looked!!
The best seller is the Moromi Miso Black Cod, a huge crowd pleaser and defiantly one to try. Other popular options include: Crispy Aromatic Duck, Beef & Truffle Dim Sum, Duck & Dragon Maki and much more. Prices are really reasonable starting with the Sushi and Dim Sum from AED 45 +.
Being a fan of Asia Asia in Dubai we couldn’t wait to check out the new restaurant in Abu Dhabi and boy did they pull out all the stops! Solutions Leisure (the brand behind many fantastic culinary hotspots across the UAE) never fail to open incredible venues in prime locations and this certainly didn’t disappoint. Past the twinkling palm trees stands the impressive multi-award-winning restaurant and lounge. Located on Yas Bay, a one-of-a-kind 12 billion aed waterfront destination nestled south of Yas Island, set to be the capital’s new hotspot.

With panoramic views of the bay Asia Asia can be found in a prime location on pier 71. You’re spoilt for choice as the venue is an impressive size with both restaurant and lounge seating inside and a terrace that wraps around the venue with incredible views of the bay. We were seated at sunset on the outside terrace, overlooking the glistening water as the sun came down, the perfect setting if you’re looking for a new date night spot.
From the Far East to the Middle East..
It’s extremely atmospheric and dramatic inside with breathtaking interiors transporting you to the Far East. If you’ve visited Asia Asia in Dubai at Pier 7 you’ll know what to expect. Dark wooden tables with red velvet chairs, a huge floral tree in the middle of the venue with mood changing lights and oriental statues placed throughout, providing a true authentic asian experience.
The Star of the show..
Prepare to embark on an exotic culinary journey, exploring Pan-Asian flavors from the Far East to the Middle East. We tried the set menu which was incredible, it’s the perfect choice if you’re coming down as a couple and want to try a wide range of their best Pan – Asian dishes! (500aed for two) The star of the show had to be the main courses, beautifully cooked steak and a steamed seabass with Bok choy, coconut, ginger, chili and garlic. There was so much delicious food included within the menu we had to take the rest away with us! Amazing value for your money.
The service was flawless. A special mention has to be given to John the manager who is not only an amazing host but also made us a flaming cocktail which was quite the show! They offer an extensive cocktail menu, full of exotic flavours and instagrammble presentation. However, If you’re not a big drinker the mocktails are incredible! The ‘Aurora’ made with rose water is a must try! It’s presented in a glass bowl resembling the world, get your phone at the ready it’s one for the socials!

Jones prides themselves in cooking and baking honest food, and serving the best fresh coffee..and their not wrong! From gourmet grocery, to popular all-day hotspot, this place does it all, from cafe dishes to evening dining. If your heading for a day of shopping at Dubai Mall, we definitely recommend stopping at Jones to set you up for the day. Their Full English breakfast is no joke with eggs on sourdough, beef sausages, beef bacon, sautéed mushrooms, baby spinach, vine tomatoes and home-made hash browns. If your looking for something lighter, no worries – Jones has everything from açai bowls to coconut pancakes.
We all love a roast, right? It’s the perfect Sunday afternoon ritual. London certainly isn’t short of pubs and restaurants offering Sunday lunch menus, so rather than being overwhelmed by choice, we’ve narrowed it down to three of the best.
Hawksmoor Seven Dials, Covent Garden
For: The Beef
Covent Gardens branch of the infamous Hawksmoor, Seven Dials, is one of the most popular spots in London on a Sunday – and there’s no guessing why. Their classic roast has everything you need to satisfy those Sunday cravings, known for their delicious British reared beef, paired with all the trimmings. For £25 you can expect beef dripping roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, carrots, greens, roasted shallots and garlic, lashings of bone marrow and onion gravy. This warm, dimly lit basement provides the cosiest of settings for it’s guests, perfect for an afternoon of indulgence and over eating! If you still have any room left to fill, you might opt for the classic sticky toffee pudding, paired with clotted cream, to round up the ultimate British dining experience.
If looking for a traditional London pub, and a cosy corner to spend your Sunday afternoon, opt for Marksman. This Hackney favourite serves not only a banging roast, but all the best British pub ’feels’ with it’s polished oak bar and green leather upholstered benches. Its set menu offers everything your looking for, with bold, 0-fuss options from Hereford beef rump to a whole Roast Norfolk chicken for sharing, with all the classic mouthwatering sides. This award winning pub really is all about the grub! It’s on the spenny side, but well worth a visit. Who doesn’t love a pub that doesn’t skimp on gravy?
This smart gastropub can be found in the upmarket area of Pimlico, a branch of the Cubitt House, proudly advertised as supporters of British craft, sustainable and carbon free. Set over two floors, the stylish pub has a ’weathered’ but expensive feel, with muted tones, antique mirrors and grand mouldings. British ingredients have pride of place on the menu, with the roast options stealing the show – including rump beef, spatchcock chicken and lamb. All served, of course, with the important stuff; roasted beef fat potatoes, parsnips with honey mustard butter, winter greens, carrots, yorkshire puddings and gravy. You can expect to pay £25-£30 for your main, but we’d say this charming spot is well worth the price for a special occasion.
