See Dubai Mall & The Burj Khalifa

The Dubai Mall is the world’s largest destination for shopping, entertainment and leisure, located next to of course, the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. This downtown mall is the equivalent size to 200 football pitches. With a whopping 1,200 retail shops and more than 200 food and drink outlets it’s fair to say your unlikely to struggle with places to shop, eat and drink. Although the biggest draw of the mall for many is the extensive list of shops, it’s also unique in hosting one of the worlds largest aquariums, the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. With the capacity to hold 10 million litres of water, it showcases the beauty of the sea, with one of the most diverse collections of marine animals worldwide. We’d say a visit here will go down pretty well with the youngsters.

The Burj Khalifa is also definitely worth a visit, offering 360-degree views of the city, from 555m above the ground. If you’d rather admire it from below, we don’t blame you! If you’ve got kids to impress there also likely to enjoy the worlds largest Fountain Show, kicking off every 30 minutes across the man made lake at the foot of the Burj. Enjoy a picnic at the Burj Khalifa park, or head for lunch or dinner at one of the many outdoor dining outlets – either way, there’s loads to see and do around Dubai Mall.

Visiting the Desert has to be on your list of things to do on your next family holiday to Dubai. Experience a crazy 4×4 dune ride with professional drivers, as they drift in and out of sand dunes, or opt to take a wheel, and experience the sand from your own dune buggy or quad bike. Hike in the Doi Inthanon National Park

Help out at Soi Dog Foundation, Phuket

Soi Dog Foundation is South East Asia’s largest rescue organisation for vulnerable street dogs and stray cats. For 18 years, with the support of donations and global volunteers, they worked tirelessly to reduce animal suffering through medical care, provided a sanctuary for those left on the streets, and provided a local and international adoption service. Guided tours are available Monday-Friday at 10:00am and 1:30pm. Following the 40-minute tour, visitors are encouraged to socialise with animals and can enjoy time in the puppy pen, giving them as much love as possible! A truly eye opening experience.

This trendy Japanese inspired restaurant hidden in the heart of Dubai Marina has everybody talking, brining unique and vibrant energy from an evening spent partying in Tokyo here to Dubai, this is the ultimate ‘dinner and a show’ experience. As you walk through the entrance into the reception you are greeted with a faux tattoo parlour, low lighting and red neon signs – this is just a tease of what’s to come as you walk through to the bar and restaurant.

We really were amazed by how different this experience was to any other brunch in Dubai. This is the perfect brunch to celebrate a Birthday with a group of friends, or even the perfect date day out.
