This new playground for the social elite and uber famous has opened on Miami’s infamous South Beach. Welcome to the goodtime hotel, your universal passport to a good time. The Goodtime Hotel, a collaborative endeavour between nightlife entrepreneur David Grutman of Groot Hospitality and music icon Pharrell Williams, is set to become a neighbourhood-defining destination.
The Goodtime Hotel is a brilliant marriage of vibrancy, fun and Miami flavour. Designed by Ken Fulk, the seven-story hotel takes up an entire city block and comprises 266 stylish rooms, including a luxurious specialty suite.
Strawberry Moon..
At the centre of The Goodtime hotel, on the third floor, is Strawberry Moon. This insta-ready venue was designed to transport guests into a classic Miami Beach Art Deco era, with a touch of energy and style from old world Havana Cuba and Beverly Hills. Set against a palette of pale mint, coral and white, the space features twin pools tiled in broad stripes and divided by a runway sprinkled with powder-coated palm fronds. Shaded bungalows and signature striped cabanas ring the pool’s jungle oasis.
Top celebrity DJs poolside..
Each weekend The Pool at Strawberry Moon will be transformed into a high energy day club – the perfect place to relax, dance, and let loose with top celebrity DJs poolside. Guests can walk up to the pool’s open-air bar or enjoy champagne and cocktails from lounge chairs. For those seeking the total VIP experience, the cabanas are sure to be a hot commodity.
“This is about providing a getaway within a town that’s already known as a vacation spot”, Grutman explains. “When you’re at the Goodtime, we want you to feel like your worries and anxieties have been left outside.”
Pharrell adding: “We want The Goodtime Hotel to impart a feeling of both revitalisation and that rare, exciting thrill that takes over when you discover something special”; blurring the lines, if you will.
Visits from Kim Kardashian and The Beckhams…
It’s clear that locals and travellers aren’t the only ones who eagerly awaited The Goodtime Hotel’s debut; celebs have visited in their droves to celebrate Grutman and Williams’ hotel opening. The red carpet has seen celebrity royalty such as Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, and the Beckham’s David & Victoria. Timbaland, Future, Bad Bunny, Alesso, Cedric Gervais, Maluma and Rick Ross all made appearances as well.
