The Washhouse, Shudehill

For: An interesting entry.

Although from entry, this may seem like an old school laundrette, it’s far from that. Step through the door in the corner, and find yourself in Washhouse’s elusive bar (yes, very Narnia-esc.) Accessed only after you literally step through the washing machine, you’ll meet a dimly lit, leather-clad bar serving all the quirky cocktails, and a house playlist to match.

The Ivy, Spinningfields

For: An Asian twist.

Manchester

The West End’s iconic celebrity hotspot, The Ivy, has opened its first Manchester location in Spinningfields. Much like it’s other venues, the spot offers the traditional ‘British summer’ feel setting, offering their classic all day menu. On the second floor, however, expect Ivy Asia, a breathtaking space, illuminated by the green, semi-precious stone floors fit with golden gilded ceilings, lush jade colours and a beautiful pink bar. Their huge roof terrace offers the perfect space for nighttime drinking (don’t worry, fire pits included).
